    Sometimes you can not see  in the Finder the external storage. By Disk Utility, you see it and you can open it without any problems.

    In this case it may mean that the volume is hidden.

    To verify the exact name of the Volume, open the Terminal application and type the following command line:

    cd /volumes

    In this way, you can see the list of Volumes and  we can see the name of the volume that interests us.

    Proceed as follows in order to be able to see again the Volume in the Finder:

    chflags nohidden '/Volumes/Volume 1/'

    In this way, the Volume, will return to be seen In the Finder
